Hi, I'm Joseph Marcilla. I love building solutions that democratize access at scale, things that open doors instead of keeping them shut for a few. Tech and traveling are the two things I'm hooked on. Wherever I go, you'll probably catch me creating something. The world needs more creators, more imaginative people who can actually execute. Today, software engineering (or whatever craft you choose to master) carries real power. Use it well.
I'm currently Co-founder & CTO at Comuhack, where we use AI to detect learning gaps and adapt interactive capsules so students can grow at their own pace. I built the probabilistic algorithm that spots those gaps by competency, combining machine learning with applied psychometrics, and I lead technical architecture, AI models, educational methodology and product.
By training I'm an engineer, psychologist and researcher. Before Comuhack I co-founded Queestudiar.la, an EdTech acquired by a LATAM educational group after processing more than one million vocational profiles. That journey taught me that the best products live where rigor and empathy meet.
One of my earliest obsessions was asking why about everything. That's why the universe is one of my biggest fascinations and inspirations. There's so much we still don't understand, and every time I look up I'm reminded that I basically know nothing. Strangely, that thought is what keeps me curious and trying to figure things out.
What drives me is the intersection of technology, education and entrepreneurship: making knowledge more accessible, supporting makers with a hacker mindset and backing emerging talent as an angel investor. If any of that resonates, let's talk.
